Coach Jim Emigh has been recognized numerous times for both his contributions in the classroom and the athletic arena. He coached wrestling, football, and baseball for a combined 67 seasons and helped to turn those programs into the winning traditions that they are today. Highlights of his coaching career include several Southwest Conference Championships and undefeated teams; the 2000 State Football Championship; OFHS’s first State Wrestling Champion and many other notable state placers. He was the first OFHS wrestling coach to earn a winning record in every year of his tenure and the first to coach ateam to a top-ten finish at the State Championships. His best team placed 4th in the State Division II Championships in 1983. He was named Southwest Conference, Sun News, and Cleveland Area Wrestling Coach of the Year; Olmsted Falls High School Teacher of the Year; and received the Nobel Educator of Distinction Award. Jim currently resides in Olmsted Falls and teaches at Baldwin-Wallace College.
