Coach Rae Alexander coached girls’ track at OFHS from 1978 – 1996, during which time her athletes earned “All-Ohio” 82 times.  During the decade of the 80’s, the OFHS distance runners won at least one individual or team State championship every year, including three cross country team titles, a State record-setting 4x800 relay, 2 individual 3200 titles, 3 individual 1600 titles, and 3 individual cross country titles.  During her later years at OFHS, she also had success coaching the boys in track.  She coached three “All-Ohio” 4x800 relays, including the 1995 State Championship squad.  Fifteen of her boys earned “All-Ohio” honors, including a State runner-up at 800 meters and a Division I State runner-up at 1600 meters.  While at OFHS Rae was honored twice as OHSAA Coach-of-the-Year, nominated for National Coach-of-the-Year, and was SMACO-Honored Coach of the Year.  Rae currently resides in Strongsville, Ohio.
