FROM THE CLASS OF 1977 - MR. DENNIS KANE

Dennis was one of the best two-sport athletes in Olmsted Falls history. He was the team co-captain for both the football and wrestling teams. As a heavyweight wrestler, he was continually wrestling opponents that were twenty to sixty pounds heavier than he was. He placed fifth in the state in 1976, becoming the first Olmsted Falls wrestler to place in State competition since the early 60's. In football he was on the Press and Plain Dealer Dream Teams, All-Scholastic Team, and the Southwest Conference MVP. He was the only player ever to receive All Ohio recognition as both a linebacker with the Associated Press and a tailback with the United Press. Dennis graduated from John Carroll University in 1984 with an accounting degree and is employed by Price Waterhouse in Washington, D.C., as a consultant to the Clinton administration's antipoverty/urban renewal program. He resides in Accokeek, Maryland.
