GERALD MASISAK, ’89, was a three-year letterman for the varsity football team at OFHS.  As the team co-captain and league scoring leader, Jerry helped the Bulldogs football team win the Southwestern Conference co-championship his senior year.  He was voted most valuable player of the SWC, MVP of his team, First Team SWC running back, Second Team P.D. All Scholastic, Second Team A.P. Division II All-Ohio Running Back, and Division II Back-of-the-Year for the Northeast District.  Jerry’s accolades also earned him a spot on the All-SWC Grid Team.  Jerry also was a two-year letterman for the varsity baseball team and served as co-captain his senior year.  As the starting catcher and shortstop he compiled a .346 career batting average, led his team to a second-place finish in the SWC.and also earned all-conference honors his senior year  Jerry and his wife Kris (Rushefski, OFHS class of 1989) reside in Avon with their children Abbey, Luke, and Grace.
