KIM HALUSCSAK WISE, ’88, distinguished herself in both track and cross country during her high school career.  In track she earned six Southwest Conference individual titles, eight district titles, and three regional titles.  Competing at the State level for three years, she placed first in the 1600 and 3200 in 1988, when her team was a runner up at the State track meet that year.  She placed first at the Mid-West meet of Champions – a four-state meet – and set a meet record.  She set a school record in the 3200 and was team co-captain.  In cross country, she was a Class AA State Champion in 1986 and 1987; her team won the State Title in 1987.  She was Southwest Conference champion for three years as well as the Conference MVP.   Earning an athletic scholarship to the University of Michigan, where her team placed 7th at the 1988 NCAA Championships, she was team captain and a Big Ten Scholar Athlete.  Kim  lives in Dayton with her husband Eric and works as a mental health therapist.
