Michael French, ’83, distinguished himself as an outstanding wrestler at Olmsted Falls High School qualifying at the state level three times, and placing twice.  As a senior team captain, he concluded his career by placing 4th at the state level, won the SWC and was voted the team’s most valuable wrestler.  Most important to him, his team finished 4th in the state and won the SWC.  Upon graduation, Mike attended the US Military Academy at West Point, where he was a 4-year Division I varsity letterman, finishing his career ranked 17th in the country.  After West Point, Mike was appointed an officer in the Field Artillery and later served in Operation Desert Shield/Storm, where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for combat operations.  After leaving the service, Mike attended The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, where he earned his MBA.  Mike lives in Medina, Ohio, with his wife Theresa and their children, twins Beck and Addison.
