ROBERT THEISS, COACH - ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, received his undergraduate degree from Western Reserve University and graduate degree from Ohio State University.  While attending Western Reserve he lettered four years in basketball and baseball.  He played professional  baseball for the Milwaukee Braves farm system, followed by service in the United States Army.  In 1961 he began his career at Olmsted Falls High School as a teacher and head basketball coach.  In 1961, under his direction, the baseball program was reinstated.  He left coaching when he was appointed Athletic Director in 1970.  Serving in this capacity for the next twenty-three years, he was instrumental in expanding the Athletic Program to include a wider variety of sports for both boys and girls.  Bob retired in 1993 after thirty-two years in the Olmsted Falls School System.  He currently lives in North Olmsted with his wife Mary Lou.  They have two grown children.
