Richard Wollenzier, ’60, lettered in three sports, basketball, track, and football for all three years of his high school career.  He was captain of the basketball team his senior year as well as being named All-Conference, a Press Star selection, and a Dream Team member.  He was quarterback and captain of the football team that went undefeated in 1959, as well as being named All-Conference, Dream Team, and Press Star selection for all three years on the football team.  Dick continued his athletic career at Ohio Northern University, lettering for four years on the football team and being captain of the squad in both his junior and senior years.  He also lettered on the baseball team.  He coached football at Cuyahoga Falls High School for 17 years and golf for 5.  As Defensive Coordinator, his squad still holds school records for “fewest points allowed” and “most shutouts” in a season.  Although retired, Dick competes in golf tournaments and coaches his three sons in their baseball, football, and track careers.  He and his family reside in Kent, Ohio.
