Fall Program Patron and Ad Deadline Extended to Monday, August 16
OFAB is now creating the Fall season athletic program. Patrons donating $15 or more can still get their name printed in the Fall program. Area advertisers can still reserve ad space. The deadline can only be extended through Monday, August 16, so be sure to contact Dave Romaine at 440-427-0423 if you are interested. (See attached form.) Patron money received after the deadline will be recognized in our Winter season program.
Picture Day is Monday, August 16
Please mark your calendar for your athlete's designated picture day! The picture schedule follows: 7:00 a.m. – Girls Soccer
7:30 a.m. – Boys Soccer
8:00 a.m. – Cross Country
8:30 a.m. – Girls Golf
9:15 a.m. – Girls Tennis
9:45 a.m. – Cheerleaders
12:30 p.m. – Freshman Football
1:15 p.m. – Football
3:00 p.m. - Volleyball
ATTENTION PARENTS: If you can commit some time to help on picture day, please contact Bernie Lofredo in the high school office at 427-6114 or blofredo@ofcs.net . P arent volunteers will assist the photographers and help them identify students.
OFAB and Fall Senior Athletes Walk in Heritage Days Parade on August 19
Olmsted Falls ' Heritage Day Parade will be held the evening of Thursday, August 19. Booster club officers and Fall senior athletes will meet at 5:45 p.m. near the dumpster in the Falls-Lenox parking lot. During and after the parade, s top by the OFAB booth in front of Abigayle's Quilt Shop to check out the Bulldog sportswear for sale!
Plan to Attend ‘Meet the Teams' Night at OFHS on August 21
The entire community is invited to attend the Olmsted Falls High School Meet the Teams Night to be held in the football stadium on Saturday, August 21 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. At the event, the soccer, cross country, tennis, golf, volleyball and football athletes and coaches are introduced as well as the band, golden bullets and cheerleaders. All seniors are recognized individually. At the event, the concession stand will be open. Bulldog sportswear will be for sale and various raffles will take place including 50/50 and others where the winner can receive a game ball, football practice jersey, among other items.
Free Hot Dogs at Drug Mart on August 28
The swim and dive team will serve free hot dogs and drinks from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 28 at Drug Mart on the corner of Bagley and Columbia . Donations are accepted and will benefit the Swim & Dive Team. Thanks to Drug Mart for donating the hot dogs and drinks!
Please Volunteer at Our Concession Stand; We Need You
Without the help of parents, the concession stand (one of OFAB's biggest fundraisers of the year) wouldn't be possible. Please contact Lisa Hanna or Dan Coyle by email via volunteers@ofathleticbooster.org and let them know when you can commit to working a short shift at the concession stand. The football dates needing coverage are:
Freshman: 8/26, 9/16, 9/23, 10/7 and 10/14 (All dates are Thursdays.)
JV: 8/28, 9/18, 9/25, 10/9, and 10/16 (All dates are Saturdays.)
Varsity: 9/3, 9/10, 10/1, 10/22 and 10/29 (All dates are Fridays.)
We also need help at 7th & 8th grade football and high school volleyball and boys & girl's soccer. Dates will be available soon, so check your email inbox. We'd love to see some new faces. We promise its fun too!
New Pizza Raffle at Home Football Games
Thanks to the generosity of Angelina's Pizza, the Olmsted Falls Athletic Booster Club and the Olmsted Falls Music Association will benefit equally from the new “Win Pizza for a Year” raffle taking place during the football season. Tickets are $2 each and will be sold at home football games. Winner of the “Pizza for a Year” raffle will be announced at the last home football game. Please help make this new raffle a success and purchase a ticket or two! The pizza prize is valued at approximately $1,000!
Bulldog Cards Available for $10
Bulldog cards (shaped like a credit card) are available for purchase at home events in the concession stand area and in the HS main office. Card gives you discounts/specials at various local establishments including KFC, Angelina's Pizza, Moosehead, Shakers IGA, Subway, Dunkin Donuts, Tony K's and more! The discounts can be used over and over again while the card is valid through August 2011.

The Olmsted Falls Athletic Boosters (OFAB) Club exists to support, encourage and advance the athletic program and related activities of the Olmsted Falls School District . It does so through fundraising projects including concession and sportswear apparel sales and events including 5 on 5 and 3 on 3 basketball tournaments, a Wrestling Open and other popular outings like Night at the Races and the Bulldog Apparel Holiday Sale. Funds raised support the athletic program by providing equipment and scholarships to our athletes.
